I upgraded my Blogger account I finally switched to Blogger's "new" gmail-based system, which is now out of beta. I figured I would give it a whirl, but I am not too optimistic about the legendary glitchiness of Blogger being fixed. This morning, for the first time in two weeks I made a post to my blog, and for two hours Blogger wasn't allowing me to publish. I am this close to switching to WordPress; I probably would have switched already, but WordPress doesn't allow for publishing to custom domains unless you (a) pay them and (b) give them DNS control of the domain, which means you can't use it for anything else. It's not like I have been writing much here, but I want to get back into the swing of things and starts hitting this thing regularly, so at the minimum it would be nice to be able to depend on my blog solution you know, actually working when I want to use it. So for now I will probably stay with Blogger...and who knows how long "for now" is? Labels: meta |
