Fairly unbalanced

Time Magazine has a cover story this week on the lives of gay and lesbian teenagers. For the most part, it is a decently-written article (go read it yourself), but it is annoying that the writers wasted a third of the article on the "ex-gay" organization Exodus which promotes virulent anti-gay bigotry while claiming to be able to turn gay people into heterosexuals. I understand the journalistic need to tell "both sides" but ask yourself, if Time Magazine did a story on what it was like to grow up black in America, would they interview members of the Klan? Would a story on Jewish youth feature a sidebar on the Wahabbi Islamic view towards Jews, for the sake of "fairness?"
