What's the matter with Kansas, part of a continuing series

It's old news that evolution is un-Godly, medical records are public records if abortion is involved, the Bible is a science textbook, and allowing gay people to visit their partners in the hospital should be banned by the Constitution, but how's this for a whopper?

Kay O'Connor, a state senator from Olathe who received national attention a few years ago for saying that giving women the right to vote was a mistake (yes, she is a woman...go figure...) has announced she is running for Secretary of State.

In case you are unaware, Secretary of State is the office which oversees elections in Kansas.

Ladies, I hope you enjoyed voting in 2004, because it might have been your last chance!

(yes, I know that she can't actually ban women from voting, because that right is protected by Federal amendment, but I will not let that stand in the way of good irony)
