So who won the Civil War again?



Kind of an amazing map, courtesy of these folks.

It's 2006, and the Union stands. Black people are equal citizens with full equal rights.

And yet, the executive branch, the House, and the Senate are completely controlled by folks hailing from the Confederate States of America. The Southern Baptist Church, whose membership distribution is laid out in the map above has the ear of America's elected leaders and is busy getting its moral beliefs passed into law throughout the country. The states the used to be part of the Confederacy are dominating America's political and social culture.

Anyone know the tune to "Dixie?"
