Apple's "duh" moment

Apple's finally running ads touting their OS's lack of viruses and spyware.

I'm surprised it took them so long to point out what it probably the most obvious and readily-apparent benefit of the MacOS to the average user: the lack of spyware and viruses on the Mac. And yes, I know it is technically possible to write a Mac virus, but that doesn't really matter, because the future possibility of the appearance of a Mav virus (or two, or ten) would still leave the Mac about jillion times safer then Windows, where ten new viruses are merely a slow day.

If you use a Windows PC, you have to worry about spyware and viruses. Even if you think you are protected, you still need to be wary...keeping your guard up, being saavy, like a seasoned city dweller riding the subway at night. You don't have to do that on a Mac, and even the eventual appearance of a Mac virus won't change that any more then the occasional burglary in Des Moines means that somehow is it just as dangerous to live in Iowa as it is to live in South Central LA.
