End the occupation!

Some positive noise about Syria finally leaving Lebanon.

This would be a very good thing. Of course, I do wonder why there have been no UN resolutions on this issue, no campus boycotts, not angry protest marches in European capitals, and no American churches pursuing "divestment" from Syria.

I can't think of any reason at all for this strange silence...can you?

EDIT: Actually, there is one Security Council resolution demanding Syria quit Lebanon, Resolution 1559. But still, compare that to the number of resolutions dealing with Israel...
