That Simpsons "Gay Marriage" episode

Eh.

It was OK, actually pretty thoroughly average. They did manage, in best Simpsons tradition, to take a controversial issue and manage to treat it in such a way that true believers on either side can find plenty of stuff to be offended about.

And there were a few pretty funny moments. Disco Stu made an appearance, and Homer had some good lines, as he usually does when Patty and Selma make an appearance.

The "parental discretion advised" warning was quite dumb though. I mean, this is FOX, home of "When Whores Attack!" and other fine reality TV most definitely NOT suitable for children. And they warn about this rather tame Simpsons episode?

I should note that most gay, libertarian, Catholic, Republican authors and theatre critics gave the episodes a thumbs up.

And yes, the website shown in the episode is real.
