Light instead of heat

The gay marriage debate has really been beaten to death, and at this point almost seems like a scripted theatrical performance when both sides go at each other, so it is rare when I actually stumble upon a debate where there is actually more light then heat. That is why I was fascinated to read this thread on the topic (featuring posts by several well-known bloggers) in which several thoughful people on both sides (generally religious Christians) discuss same-sex marriage without crude rhetoric or personal attacks.
