Red Letter Day

Oh, Canada!

Congratulations!

How this for a juxtaposition between Canada and the United States...the same day Canada's legislature passed a bill recognizing same-sex marriage, conservatives in Maine qualified a ballot initiative to repeal a law prohibiting employment discrimination based on sexual orientation. Forget marriage...the good "Christians" of Maine want to be able to fire people from their jobs for being gay!

I wonder if Canada is what the United States would have been like if the South hadn't won the Civil War?
